Torture

Jen and I are craving comfort food bad. The food hasn't been terrible but we are getting tired of our options here. We've tried a lot of different things and we are eating a lot of cheese and toast with marmalade.

If anyone knows me they know that I love tacos. Whenever we go to Mexico to visit my family, Jen knows that our first stop is not to my parents house, it is to a taco place.

I got an email today from work friends with this picture. I wish both of them a slow and painful death =). I can't stop thinking about those tacos, that was torture in the worst way!

  6. :) I have to say that it does look incredibly inviting doesn't it? How cruel or sweet of your friends to think of your hunger while you're so far away from home. I'm sure they will be thinking about you on Cinco de Mayo and celebrating for you..... :)

  7. That was pure cruelty for them to send that photo to you!!! We lived in TX for one year and the biggest thing I missed about CA was the Mexican food. (yes, I know they have Mexican food in TX but it is different than in CA) There is just something about it that makes you miss it soooo much. Guess I know what you guys will be getting first thing off the plane.

  9. Hello Jen and Hector.Zoey's mom here just letting you know we check in daily and send lots of prayers your way as your journey bringing Sofia home continues.
Hector,I say a huge party, with a taco guy and margarita machine and the whole works are in order when you return with your girl. One of our most favorite theme celebrations at our house AND we would make the drive .. totally worth the 3 hours!

And as a side note, felt compelled to share that Anna touched our hearts so much that we talked to Andrea but unfortunately Mark and I ride the age cusp on Ukraine's requirement.Possible, maybe but difficult and I don't want anything difficult for that sweet girl.Rumor has it that there is a family right behind us:)!!!!

  10. Oh, Hector, it must be true what they say... the key to a man's heart is through is stomach. So tacos are how Jen got to you? LOL! Maybe they make a mean Ukrainian taco and you just haven't found it yet. Hang in there... better food is just around the corner (when you're back in the States) and you'll be able to eat tacos every day for the rest of the month of May.
