Wait & See

So far our flight is still scheduled however all flights before it have been cancelled. We fly through Frankfurt and then to Kiev so we need two different airports to be open in order for us to make it. We've tried looking at alternative routes but so far it's either crazy expensive or just not possible because so many flights to Europe go through major hubs and all those major hubs are closed.

We're hoping that today the ash in the airspace has dispersed and that all flights can resume safely by later this evening and early morning tomorrow.

We move forward as if we are leaving tomorrow. Bags are packed. Schedules are written. Plans are in place. Lots of work...we hope it's not all in vain.  But, we know ultimately this is in God's hands and we must be at peace with that. However hard that might be. We know there are so many travelers stranded right now so we have it good in that we are still in the comfort of our own home. So we pray that this air traffic mess is cleared up soon for everyone that is affected by it and hoping to move forward in their lives.

  1. Praying for you to be able to leave tomorrow!!!

  2. Praying right along with you!!! I have been thinking about you guys alot the last couple of days.

  3. Ahh, how stressful this must be for you!

Just try to keep your eye on the goal..that day WILL come when you hold her in your arms...and soon :)

  4. Oh Jen...I've been thinking of you guys and hoping, so very much, for the best.
    Hang in there.

  5. Praying that all will go as planned! xoxo

  6. Thinking of you and hoping it all gets sorted :)

  7. Praying for you.

Stockholm and airports further north in Sweden are open or will open soon for flights from west. Still nothing south, but maybe some help still?

  8. I forgot to add that you can take the boat from Stockholm to the Baltic countries and maybe even to Poland, from where Ukraine is pretty close.

  9. Been thinking about you all weekend...can't believe your first visit is just hours away! Praying that the skies clear and you can get on your way!

  10. I'm praying for you, too! For all those plans and arrangements to go smoothly like clockwork. For a big ol' wind to kick that ash aside. I saw some positive news tonight on the air/weather/airport situation... I'm praying that it continues to improve and that we read your posts from abroad.

  11. Oh goodness, what a crazy thing to have to go through. Standing with you and TRUSTING that you can get on that flight!

    Waiting for GOOD NEWS!!!
