Mono Mia Open House Fundraiser on 4/21

To date, we are about $4000 away from our goal of $26,000 for the actual adoption costs! We have about $1500 left to raise for our home study & apostille fees which are higher in California than most other states in the U.S. We are so close and we have two last fundraisers left and then we are SET! One of them is the Mono Mia Open House Fundraiser and the second is a Saving Sofia Fashion Show & Raffle on Sunday, May 16th at 2:30pm in Auburn...please save the date! More info on that to follow soon.

On Wednesday April 21st, 5-8:30 PM, there will be an Open House at Mono Mia. Several vendors are participating and it it is a great reason to get out of the house, support the cause, visit with friends, and get some unique shopping done!

Mono Mia is located at 1721 Eastern Ave. Suite 15 in Sacramento, CA. Right across the street from Whole Foods Market!

Here are a brief description of some of the vendors participating:

Start at GoldBug and turn in that old gold for cash!

Order personalized stationery for those graduates coming up with Paper By Appt.

Pick up a pair or two of fabulous bling flip flops and choose your bling decoration!

Order “Sweet T’s” delicious pastries for upcoming events.

Darling hair bows and holders made by From the Heart.

Wooly raggy baggies...unique handbags made from recycled wool. Very cool.

Charms made from bottle caps! Come see for yourself!

Handmade tutus!

Mono Mia – think personalized gifts for mothers and graduates, weddings coming up. Unique gift ideas for year end teachers gifts, friends, and special occasions!

For anyone in the Sacramento area, we hope you'll check it out...we will be there in "spirit" since we will have already left for our first trip to Sofia's country!

  2. I LOVE this story! My husband and I adopted our daughter who has down syndrome. She is from the US but her parents are Armenian and she was not accepted in their family. She is the Joy of our life and I can't thank God enough for creating her for us. Sofia is amazing. Having gone through the adoption process I know how excited and anxious you guys are right now. I am so happy for you that she is coming home soon. May God bless your family!
